This one is for all those vegan freaks out there who adore coconuty, mallowy fruity snacks. It’s quite the dish at gatherings or simply for a change from the usual salad.
You will need:
Small tin of crushed pineapple, drained (in natural juice of course)
1 tin mandarin segments (drained)
1 packet of vegan marshmallows (go here if you want to by some: www.veganstore.com)
shredded coconut
Mix all ingredients gently in a bowl.
Refrigerate until chilled.
Serve with lunch or as a treat.
P.S. If you like fresh pineapple this will make the dish even tastier.
P.P.S. If you are a nut freak, then a handful of crushed almonds goes quite well in this dish.
(*this is just one of the many fabulous vegan treats in our ‘Wicked Treats & Sweets’ recipe eBook.

BRACE YOURSELVES. This film is confronting, horrific and heartbreaking. Earthlings is a life-changer. my only question is: who is watching? Is it only getting out to us long-suffering vegan/animalrights types, who already get it? The reason I ask is because I’ve seen most of the films over the years, starting with The Animals Film narrated by Hayley Mills, through ghastly vivisection exposes, to the moving achievements of Tribe of Heart, and so on. I’m not sure how much more if it I can take. Yet I feel it is my duty to bear witness to the horror. If I don’t watch, and if you don’t watch, who will? Not the masses of people out there still eating animals, still wearing their skins, still going to zoos and circuses, who turn away and say, “Oh, I can’t bear to watch that kind of thing.” As Joaquin Phoenix states in his eloquent and moving narration: “people say they don’t want to be put off their dinner.”
Am I angry? You bet. I’m angry that after watching this film I had to go to bed with visions in my head that no one should have to endure. I’m angry that, one more time, I fell asleep utterly ashamed of being human. And if, as I type this, tears of rage and impotence are streaming down my face, then all the better for me to write a compelling review.
Buy this DVD, tie up your family and friends if you have to, and force them to watch. Only a heart of stone could fail to be moved. We need to see Earthlings so that a change can come. Earthlings speaks on behalf of all the billions of beings who have been incarcerated, tortured, murdered, eaten and worn, and the ones still to come. We need to watch this film so as to bear witness to their suffering. Lest we forget.
